GRAMMY®-nominated violinist/composer and educator Ariana Kim's PLUCKED explores the Asian diasporic experience through music and performance art shining light on the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community of Minnesota and the United States. The expansive program celebrates Asian-Minnesota artists and works, featuring Ariana Kim (violin and gayageum), Young-Nam Kim (violin), Tami Morse (harpsichord), Piyawat Louilarpprasert (video and electronics), Anna Hashizume (narrator), and Tim Lovelace (piano).

Raised in Minnesota, Ariana finds a strong connection to her musical home in the Twin Cities, now in her 18th season with the Chamber Music Society of Minnesota. She debuted with The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra at 16 and was appointed acting concertmaster of the Louisiana Philharmonic at 24. Together with the Aizuri Quartet, she was awarded the Gold Medal at the 2017 Osaka International Competition, the 2018 M-Prize, and a 2019 GRAMMY® nomination.
